    Templates and outputs

Wire content into a Template node and define what ships with Outputs.

The Template and Output nodes are where a flow becomes concrete: the template says what gets rendered, outputs say what ships and where.

    The Template node#

    1. Add a Template node and click Pick a template.
    2. The Select a template dialog opens: search by name or tag, hover a tile to preview it, and click to choose.
    3. The node fills with the template's fields, grouped by comp. For each field:
      • Type a value straight into the field, or
      • Pipe one in from a content node. Piped fields show the incoming value and ignore the manual one.
    4. Footage slots accept pipes from Image, Video and Audio nodes of the matching kind.

When a connected clip is longer than its slot, the slot shows a trim scrubber: drag the window to choose exactly which section of the clip is used.

    From comps to Outputs#

Each template comp is an output handle on the Template node. Pipe every comp you want to ship into its own Output node; comps you leave unconnected simply don't build.

    The Output node#

An Output describes the finished creative:

    • Platform and Placement: where this creative is destined. The placement defines which copy fields exist and which are required.
    • Copy fields: type them, or pipe Text (or AI) rows in; pipes win over typed values.
    • Tag fields: pipe a Tags node in for hashtags and the like.
    • UTM fields: source, medium, campaign and content for tracked links.
    • File naming: leave Auto-name on for consistent names, or switch it off and set your own.
    • Render settings: the render preset used for this output (video presets for video comps, static presets for stills).

    Preview before you build#

Pipe an Output into a Preview node to see the exact table of creatives a build would produce: every market, language, version and asset combination, before anything renders. It is the quickest way to sanity-check your gating.

    Delivering automatically#

On Business+, pipe an Output into a Meta Ads or Google Ads node to upload approved renders straight to the platform as paused ads. See Connecting Meta Ads and Connecting Google Ads.
