Connecting Gemini AI Studio
Bring your own Gemini API key for text, image generation and video generation in flows.
Gemini is the most capable provider connection in Nubu: alongside text tasks it powers image generation and video generation inside flows, billed to your Google AI Studio account directly.
Before you start
- AI integrations are part of the Business+ plan.
- Only the organisation owner can manage API keys.
- Create an API key in Google AI Studio at aistudio.google.com.
Connect
- In Nubu, open Settings > Integrations and choose the AI tab.
- In the Providers card, find Gemini and click Add API key.
- Paste the key and click Test & save. Nubu makes a live test call before storing anything.
The key is stored encrypted and never displayed again: the card shows only its last four characters.
What Gemini unlocks
- Text tasks such as translation, like the other providers.
- Image generation: AI Nodes can generate imagery that lands in your asset library and pipes into templates like any other image.
- Video generation: AI Nodes can generate short clips for video slots. Generation runs asynchronously and carries on in the background; clips take a few minutes.
Image and video generation have their own weekly budget lanes in the Organisation card, separate from text requests, because they cost considerably more per call.
After connecting
The provider card offers the same controls as every provider: an Enabled toggle, a Default model, Restrict available models, Test connection, Replace key, and Disconnect (which deletes the stored key permanently).
