Connecting nodes
Pipes carry rows between nodes; here's how to wire them.
Nodes connect with pipes. A pipe starts at an output handle on the right edge of one node and ends at an input handle on another. Rows flow along pipes, and the editor only allows connections that make sense.
Make a connection
- Press on an output handle and drag: a line follows your pointer.
- Compatible input handles light up as you drag; incompatible ones stay dim and won't accept the pipe.
- Drop on a highlighted handle to connect.
What connects to what
| From | To |
|---|---|
| Market rows | Row gates on Language, content and media nodes (controls which combinations exist) |
| Language and Version rows | Downstream row gates, and AI node dimension settings |
| Text rows (and AI text) | Template text fields, Output copy fields |
| Value rows | Template number fields |
| Colour rows | Template colour fields |
| Dropdown rows | Template dropdown fields, Output pick-list fields |
| Tags groups | Output tag fields |
| Image / Video / Audio rows | Template footage slots of the matching kind |
| CSV columns | The data input of list nodes and If / Else |
| If / Else branches | The same places CSV columns go |
| Template comps | Output nodes |
| Output | Preview, Meta Ads and Google Ads nodes |
Gating
Piping dimension rows into another node's rows gates them: connecting a Market row to a Language row says "this language belongs to this market", and only those pairings build. The same idea limits copy or media to particular markets, languages or versions.
Fix and remove pipes
Click a pipe to select it, then press Backspace or Delete to remove it. When the two ends of a pipe stop matching (a row was deleted, a template changed), the pipe carries a small label saying what's wrong and the affected nodes ring red or orange; re-pipe or remove it.
