AI Assistant

Assistant settings and controls

The owner switches, weekly budgets, model lock, chat retention and permissions that govern the assistant.

Everything that governs the assistant lives under Settings > Integrations > AI, alongside the provider keys and the flow AI controls, and only the organisation owner can change it.

The two switches

  • AI enabled is the master switch for all AI in the organisation, flow nodes and assistant alike. Off means no AI runs anywhere.
  • Campaign assistant turns the chat panel itself on or off. When it is off, the assistant control disappears from the header; AI inside flows keeps working.

Weekly budgets

Three weekly budgets apply to the assistant, each blank by default (blank means unlimited):

  • Weekly assistant budget caps assistant turns per week across the organisation. Each message you send is a turn, and approval follow-ups count too.
  • Weekly image generation budget and Weekly video generation budget cap generated media. The assistant shares these budgets with flow builds, so images and clips generated in chat and at build time draw from the same allowance. In-flight video generations count until they finish.

When the assistant budget runs out, new messages are refused with a clear message and conversations stay exactly where they are; everything resumes when the week rolls over. When a generation budget runs out, generation requests are refused with the reason, and resume with the new week.

Default model and the lock

The Campaign assistant card also sets a default provider and model for the automatic pick. Lock to this model enforces the default: the per-chat provider and model choice disappears from the panel, and the lock is enforced server-side on every run. Chats keep their own thinking level either way.

Chat retention

Chat retention sets how long an idle conversation is kept: 7 to 90 days, chosen by the owner. An idle chat disappears from the panel first, and is later permanently removed. The audit trail records only that a deletion happened, never the conversation's content.

Who can use it

  • The assistant has its own permission, Use the AI campaign assistant. Members and admins hold it by default, and owners always have access.
  • Every message is re-checked at send: organisation membership, an active seat and the organisation's billing state all have to hold, so access ends the moment a member is removed or a subscription lapses.
  • The assistant is part of the Business+ plan.

Provider keys

The assistant runs on your organisation's own provider keys and needs at least one connected provider. Keys, models and provider controls are covered in Connecting OpenAI, Connecting Gemini AI Studio and Connecting Anthropic.
