Connecting Anthropic
Bring your own Anthropic API key for AI text tasks inside flows.
Connecting Anthropic lets AI Nodes use Claude models for text tasks such as translation, billed to your Anthropic account directly.
Before you start
- AI integrations are part of the Business+ plan.
- Only the organisation owner can manage API keys.
- Create an API key in the Anthropic Console at console.anthropic.com.
Connect
- In Nubu, open Settings > Integrations and choose the AI tab.
- In the Providers card, find Anthropic and click Add API key.
- Paste the key and click Test & save. Nubu makes a live test call before storing anything; keys that fail the test are rejected.
The key is stored encrypted and never displayed again: the card shows only its last four characters.
After connecting
On the provider card you can:
- Toggle the provider Enabled or off without deleting the key.
- Set a Default model for flow builders who don't choose one.
- Restrict available models to an approved list.
- Test connection, Replace key, or Disconnect (which deletes the stored key permanently; AI Nodes using Anthropic stop working until a new key is added).
Usage and guard rails
Anthropic bills your account directly; Nubu caches identical requests so unchanged flows don't re-spend. Weekly budgets, the master AI enabled switch and role permissions all live on the same page, in the Organisation and Permissions cards.
