Motion Scripting
/ PropertiesRig properties
A rig layer's bone channels by bone id: position, rotation, scale and length - the forward-kinematics pose a script can sweep.
The rig family: a rig layer's bone channels - position (px in the parent bone's tip frame), rotation (degrees), scale (percent, 100 = 1:1) and length (px) - addressed by bone id. Every pattern reads, keyframes AND drives: a script sweeping a bone's rotation poses the whole chain below it (forward kinematics), which is the scripted arm swing.
Every pattern below is readable from scripts through prop() and layer.prop(); ids in a pattern (like <effect_id>) stand for the entity's real id. Every pattern here is in the drive set: scripts may WRITE each one with set() or a single-output return, per frame.
| Pattern | Wire kind | Units | Reads | Writes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
rig.bones.<bone_id>.length | scalar | px | yes | drive set |
rig.bones.<bone_id>.position | point2 | [x, y] px (in the parent bone's tip frame; the rig layer's space for a root) | yes | drive set |
rig.bones.<bone_id>.rotation | scalar | degrees | yes | drive set |
rig.bones.<bone_id>.scale | point2 | [x, y] percent (100 = 1:1) | yes | drive set |
