Connecting Google Ads
Deliver approved creative into Google Ads as paused Demand Gen ads or Performance Max asset groups.
Connecting Google Ads lets flows deliver finished creatives into your Google Ads account, as Demand Gen ads or Performance Max asset groups. Everything arrives paused; nothing is ever activated automatically.
Before you start
- Google Ads is part of the Business+ plan.
- Only the organisation owner can manage integrations.
- You'll need a Google account with access to the Google Ads account you plan to deliver into, directly or through a manager account.
Connect
- In Nubu, open Settings > Integrations and choose the Google Ads tab.
- Click Connect Google Ads.
- A Google sign-in popup opens; sign in and grant access to Google Ads.
- Back in Nubu, the card shows Connected as your account with the ad accounts it can see, including ones reached through a manager account.
How delivery works
- In a flow, pipe an Output into a Google Ads node, choose Demand Gen or Performance Max, then pick the account, campaign and destination: an ad group for Demand Gen, a new asset group for Performance Max.
- Demand Gen deliveries create paused video or image ads in the chosen ad group.
- Performance Max deliveries create a paused asset group bundling the creative with its copy, business name, logo and fallback imagery, all set on the node.
- Nothing existing in Google Ads is modified; deliveries only add new paused entries for your team to review and enable inside Google Ads.
Keeping it healthy
On the integration card:
- Refresh re-reads the account list.
- Reconnect runs the sign-in again.
- Disconnect removes the connection and its token immediately. Google Ads nodes stop working and queued uploads fail until you reconnect; ads and asset groups already created are untouched.
If the card shows Token expired, click Reconnect.
